The Maldives invented the line item: a 38-dollar pour of mediocre Sauvignon, a 22-dollar club sandwich, a transfer that costs more than the flight. The ten resorts here have done the maths for you, and in 2026 the better all-inclusive plans bear no resemblance to the boozy buffet stereotype — think 7,000-bottle cellars at Soneva, 24-hour dine-around at Sun Siyam, and Constance's somm-led pairings across two private islands.
Ten resorts where the AI plan is genuinely the full offering — not a bolted-on upsell. Named pour lists, destination-restaurant inclusions, spa and excursion coverage, all verified directly with reservations.

Who this list is for
Travellers who want the total cost set before they arrive, long-haul couples or families planning 7+ nights who would otherwise eat a US$38-a-glass wine list, and AI-loyalists wanting the country's strongest premium plans rather than the old buffet stereotype.
Who it isn't for
Short-stay trips where the upfront AI premium amortises poorly, foodies who prefer à-la-carte at Michelin-staffed destination restaurants, or drinkers with specific bottle preferences that AI lists rarely cover.

Soneva Fushi

Soneva Unlimited is the only Maldivian AI worth quoting at the dinner-party level: a per-adult supplement unlocks all 14 dining concepts, the 7,000-bottle cellar (Krug, Sassicaia, the lot), unlimited spa treatments, and excursions including the dolphin cruise. The all-day chocolate and ice-cream rooms remain free for everyone, but on Unlimited you actually use them without the running tab. The Den kids' club and Soneva Soul wellness sessions are bundled in too — closer to a private members' club than an AI buffet.
Pick this ifYou want the only Maldivian AI that stands up at a dinner-party comparison to a European private members' club — 14 dining rooms, a 7,000-bottle cellar on plan, and spa and excursions bundled.
Skip ifYou want the plan without the Soneva philosophy; Soneva Unlimited only makes sense if you're also buying the barefoot programming, the Soul wellness calendar, and the informal dining culture.

Halaveli's cellar runs to roughly 22,500 bottles from 325 winemakers — a list that has shown up in The World of Fine Wine for years and is genuinely on the AI rather than walled off behind premium markups. The U-Premium plan covers all four restaurants including Jahaz, the dhoni-shaped fine-dining venue, plus a free private cellar tour and an over-water lagoon tasting with the resident sommelier. Sister-island dining at Constance Moofushi is included on stays of seven nights or more.

Lily Beach was one of the first islands here to make the case that AI could be a luxury proposition rather than a downmarket compromise, and the Platinum Plan still sets the benchmark on price-to-pour. Three excursions per stay are bundled — manta snorkel in season counts — alongside a 20-cheese trolley at every meal, dinners at the Thai-Indian Tamarind for stays of four nights or more, and imported champagne by the glass. The 35% 2026 discount running through 23 December makes the Lagoon Villas particularly defensible.

Moofushi is the more relaxed, sand-floored Constance — AI-only by design, no half-board option to muddy the proposition. The plan covers all meals at Manta and lunch at the Totem beach bar, 125-plus wines including a rotating champagne (poured at meals only), and the sommelier-led tastings that put the resort on Star Wine List in 2025. Whale-shark snorkelling is on your doorstep — South Ari's a year-round site — and excursions sit on the AI for any stay of five nights or more.
Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Noonu Atoll. Photograph — Courtesy Sun Siyam Resorts
Sun Siyam relaunched Iru Fushi in late 2025 as the Indulgence 24-Hour Premium All-Inclusive Dine Around — fifteen restaurants and bars on a single wristband, including the formerly à-la-carte Trio, Flavours and Taste of India. The 66-label premium wine and champagne list is the headline upgrade, with butler service and a dedicated Sun Siyam Lounge at the seaplane terminal. Islander's Grill (steak and lobster) sits at a 50% AI discount, the only meaningful exclusion.

A 2.4-kilometre island long enough that LUX runs a bicycle programme between villas, and an AI plan that finally made sense after a 2025 menu rework — alcoholic pours from a published list (not just house) at all bars and restaurants, plus minibar, ice cream and the dolphin cruise. The free upgrade from Full Board to AI runs from 17 February 2026 to 5 January 2027 with up to 40% off, which is the way to book it. Whale sharks again cruise past the house reef year-round.
Aarah is the rare AI where premium spirits and dine-around are paired with a spa credit, an IASO face-scan analysis and complimentary whisky and wine tastings — the inclusion list runs to several pages. Seven restaurants and five bars on an island built for fewer guests than its scale suggests; the all-inclusive plan covers the whole estate including the over-water Spice Restaurant. The 45% off through October 2027, with kids staying free, is the most aggressive long-window discount we are tracking.
OZEN Reserve Bolifushi, South Malé Atoll. Photograph — Courtesy The Ozen Collection
The Indulgence Plan at OZEN Reserve is the closest the South Malé Atoll comes to Soneva-style abundance: speedboat from Velana Airport (no seaplane wait), eight restaurants including the Indo-Persian The Palms and the over-water Japanese-Peruvian Joppan, and unlimited premium pours through to in-villa champagne. The Junior Travel Awards named OZEN joint-Gold for Best All-Inclusive Hotel for Families in early 2026, which is the credibility marker the brand had been hunting.
You & Me Maldives, Raa Atoll. Photograph — Courtesy You & Me Maldives by Cocoon
Adults-only and 99 of 109 villas overwater — the AI proposition here is calibrated for couples on long-haul honeymoons rather than families. The Premium All-Inclusive dine-around opens every à la carte except H2O, the Andrea Berton-designed underwater restaurant (Michelin-starred chef, fully submerged glass tunnel, supplement applies). Premium pours by the glass include Champagne and a curated whisky and rum cabinet. Seaplane from Malé or 20 minutes by speedboat from Ifuru domestic airport.
Kandolhu Maldives, North Ari Atoll. Photograph — Courtesy Kandolhu Maldives
Kandolhu's case for the list is scale: thirty villas across an island you can walk in fifteen minutes, and an Ultimate Inclusions plan that lets you eat across all four restaurants — Mediterranean Olive, teppanyaki Banzai, Maldivian Sea Grill, Latin Ata Roa — without booking restrictions. Thirty handpicked international wines (including the in-villa wine chiller) are on the AI, plus a private snorkel tour or champagne sunset cruise. The house reef is the genuine story: drift snorkelling straight off the jetty, no boat required.
Verified 2026 plan inclusions directly with each resort's reservations office between January and April 2026, cross-referencing alcohol-by-glass policies, named restaurant exclusions, seaplane terms, and spa inclusions against each property's published rate card. Awards context from the Star Wine List 2025 (Constance), the Junior Travel Awards 2026 (OZEN), and World Luxury Awards AI category.
How we ranked
01Restaurant inclusion — how many dining rooms sit on-plan and which are carved out for supplement.
02Pour quality — whether the wine and spirit list is published or hidden behind an 'ask the sommelier' upsell.
03Spa and excursion inclusion — what's paid and what's free; spa tends to be the largest AI upcharge.
04Operational honesty — whether the plan runs through the Hulhangu monsoon shoulder without hidden blackouts.
05Transfer handling — seaplane/speedboat fees and whether they are ever on-plan.
What we considered and didn't include
Velassaru Maldives
Adequate AI; the plan has a heavier-than-average restaurant exclusion list and the reef is the weakest of the near-Malé AI resorts.
Kuredu Island Resort
Longstanding AI favourite; dropped after the 2024 beach-erosion programme and a pattern of low-season kitchen consolidation made the dine-around incoherent.
Royal Island Resort & Spa
Functional AI; older finishes and dated villa product don't hold against the 2026 entrants.
